The Carolina Hurricanes have signed one of their top prospects to an entry-level contract.
The Hurricanes agreed to terms with forward Bradly Nadeau on a three-year contract, ending Nadeau’s collegiate career after just one season.
Nadeau, 18, most recently played in the NCAA with the University of Maine this past season. Through 37 games he registered 46 points (19 goals, 27 assists) and was named a 2023-24 East Second Team All-Star and a member of the East’s All-Rookie team. Nadeau ranked fifth among all NCAA Division I freshmen in goals, sixth in points and tied for sixth in assists.
During his BCHL career Nadeau played 54 games for the Penticton Vees, registering 113 points (45 goals, 68 assists) and earning himself the MVP award that season, leading the league in points, goals, and assists.
His deal comes out to $855,000 at the NHL level in 2023-24, 2024-25, and 2025-26 and $82,500 at the American Hockey League (AHL) level for all three seasons to go with a $285,000 signing bonus.
The Hurricanes selected Nadeau in the first round, 30th overall, in the 2023 NHL Draft.
