Jazz players spoil release of Kraken Winter Classic jersey

In a crossover absolutely no one could’ve predicted, Utah Jazz players appeared to spoil the release of the Seattle Kraken‘s Winter Classic jerseys on Friday night.

As first reported by UniWatch, several players of the Jazz arrived for Friday’s in-season tournament game wearing the Kraken jerseys. The only problem: it wasn’t just regular Kraken jerseys, but the never-before-seen jerseys the team is planning to wear for their Winter Classic matchup with the Vegas Golden Knights on New Year’s Day.

The Jazz even publicly posted the jerseys with the caption “what’s Kraken???”

Seattle has still not officially revealed anything on any of its social media accounts as of Saturday evening.

That begs the question, why the Jazz? Well, your good guess is as good as ours.

As reported by the Seattle Times, there is no obvious connection between the two teams. There is no NBA team in Seattle, but the Jazz are not even the closest geographical team as that would be the Portland Trail Blazers.

We’ll have to see if this ruins the long-standing relationship between the Jazz and Kraken…
