The Winnipeg Jets have assigned Cole Perfetti, one of the team’s top forward prospects, to the AHL’s Manitoba Moose.

Perfetti, 19, appeared in two games for the Jets last week, making his NHL debut on Oct. 13 against the Anaheim Ducks and also skating Oct. 16 against the San Jose Sharks. He was a healthy scratch in Tuesday’s loss to the Minnesota Wild.

The Jets selected Perfetti 10th overall in the 2020 NHL Draft. Last season, with the OHL campaign cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic, he split time between the Moose and Jets taxi squad, where he finished second on the AHL club in scoring with 26 points in 32 games.
