Brad Lambert is going to have to wait for a chance to make more of an impact in the NHL.
Lambert and fellow forward Nikita Chibrikov have been assigned to AHL Manitoba, the Winnipeg Jets announced Monday.
Lambert made his NHL debut in the regular-season finale for Winnipeg last season, notching an assist.
A first-round pick in 2022 (30th overall), the Finnish-born Lambert had 21 goals and 34 points for 55 points in 64 games for Manitoba last season.
Chibrikov also made his NHL debut in last year’s season finale, scoring a goal.
A second-round pick in 2021 (50th overall), Chibrikov had 17 goals and 30 assists for 47 points in 70 games with Manitoba last year.
