Kings re-sign forward Alex Turcotte to three-year contract

After scoring his first career NHL goal this season, Alex Turcotte will be staying with the Los Angeles Kings.

Los Angeles announced Saturday that it has re-signed the 23-year-old forward to a three-year contract. The deal has an annual average value of $775,000 and will run through the 2026-27 season.

The fifth overall pick in the 2019 draft, Turcotte has played in three straight seasons with the Kings, but skated in a career-high 20 NHL games in 2023-24. He scored one goal and picked up three assists while registering a plus-five rating in just over nine minutes of ice time per game.

Turcotte also played 35 games with the AHL’s Ontario Reign, totalling 10 goals and 29 points.

The Elk Grove, Ill., native originally joined the Reign in 2020-21 and has scored 28 goals and 85 points in 126 career AHL games.
