The Seattle Kraken will not be parting ways with their first-ever signing in franchise history.
Forward Luke Henman, who was initially signed by the Kraken as a free agent in May of 2021, extended his stay in Seattle with a one-year, two-way contract worth $775,000, the team announced Sunday.
Henman has yet to suit up in a regular-season game with the Kraken, spending much of his tenure playing with the Coachella Valley Firebirds, Seattle’s AHL affiliate.
Henman has tallied 29 points in 112 appearances with the Firebirds and played his junior hockey in the QMJHL.
He was selected In the fourth round of the 2018 NHL Draft by the Carolina Hurricanes.
