Seattle Kraken forwards Yanni Gourde and Riley Sheahan have entered the NHL’s COVID-19 protocol, as has assistant coach Jay Leach, the team announced Saturday.
The Kraken also announced they’ve recalled forward Alexander True from the AHL’s Charlotte Checkers ahead of their game against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday.

The two forwards and assistant coach join fellow Kraken Colin Blackwell who entered protocol on Wednesday.
Gourde, 29, has 16 points through 22 games this season as a top forward for the Kraken. He’s coming off back-to-back seasons as a Stanley Cup champion with the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Sheahan, 30, has one goal and three assists in 19 games this season.
True, a 24-year-old from Denmark, has 19 NHL games under his belt — all with the San Jose Sharks. He has 18 points in 22 games with the Checkers this season and could make his debut with the Kraken.
In an unrelated move, Seattle has activated goaltender Chris Driedger off injured reserve and assigned Joey Daccord to AHL Charlotte. Drieger was dealing with a lower-body injury that kept him out since Nov. 29. He has two wins, two losses and an .876 save percentage this season.
