The Tampa Bay Lightning re-signed rookie defenceman Emil Martinsen Lilleberg on a two-year, $1.6-million contract worth $800,000 AAV, the team announced Tuesday.
Lilleberg, 23, debuted with the Lightning last season, notching five assists in 37 games. He also played with the Syracuse Crunch, the team’s AHL affiliate, finishing with two goals and 11 assists in 33 games.
Prior to that, the Sapsborg, Norway, native played for Oskarshamn IK in the Swedish Hockey League.
He was drafted by the Arizona Coyotes in the fourth round, 107th overall, at the 2021 NHL Draft.
