Lightning sign forward Jesse Ylonen to one-year contract

The Tampa Bay Lightning have signed forward Jesse Ylonen to a one-year, two-way contract, the team announced Monday.

Ylonen had four goals and four assists in 59 games with the Montreal Canadiens this past season.

He did not receive a qualifying offer from the Canadiens and became an unrestricted free agent.

The 24-year-old Ylonen was drafted in the second round, 35th overall, by the Canadiens in 2018.

He recorded 29 points (12 goals and 17 assists) in 111 career games over four seasons with Montreal.
