Maple Leafs, Oilers move up Stanley Cup betting odds after Bruins eliminated

What a difference a couple of weeks make.

With the stunning eliminations of the Boston Bruins and the Colorado Avalanche from the playoffs, the Toronto Maple Leafs and Edmonton Oilers have now jumped to the top of the betting odds to win the Stanley Cup.

When the playoffs began, Boston was seen as the outright favourite to win the Stanley Cup, with the Colorado Avalanche second. Now the Leafs sit first among the remaining teams followed by the Oilers.

Going into their first-round matchup, the Leafs are -222 favourites over the Panthers who are +160 underdogs. The Oilers are -182 betting odd to beat the Golden Knights who are a +140 underdog.

McDavid the best of rest for Conn Smythe

It is a tight race for the scoring lead in the Stanley Cup Playoffs with Roope Hintz sitting in top place with 12 points. However, Connor McDavid remains the outright betting favourite to take home the Conn Smythe Trophy.
