The Toronto Maple Leafs have recalled defenceman Mikko Kokkonen from the Toronto Marlies on an emergency basis, the team announced Saturday.
It’s unclear if he will suit up for an NHL game with the big club.
Kokkonen, 22, is in his third season with the Marlies. The third-round pick has two goals and two assists in 17 games this season.
