New Jersey Devils sign Mike Hardman to two-year, two-way contract

The New Jersey Devils have signed Mike Hardman to a two-year, two-way contract, the team announced on Monday. The deal will see an annual cap hit of $775,000 through the 2025-2026 season.

The six-foot-two forward suited up for 63 games with the Chicago Blackhawks AHL affiliate, the Rockford IceHogs in 2023-2024, recording 22 goals and 15 assists for 37 points — all of which were career highs. In total, Hardman has tallied 87 points in 164 AHL games since 2021-2022.

The 25-year-old originally went undrafted and was signed out of the NCAA to Chicago at the tail end of the 2020-21 season. He spent two years with Boston College before joining the Blackhawks for eight games, where he posted a goal and two assists.
