Edmonton Oilers star Connor McDavid hit the 500-assist mark for his career with his second helper on Thursday against the New York Islanders.
McDavid’s milestone assist came in the first period on a short-handed goal by Kailer Yamamoto.
McDavid also has 272 goals in 526 games with the Oilers.
The No. 1 overall pick in 2015 is the fifth fastest player in history to reach 500 assists.
