Oilers re-sign forward Corey Perry to one-year deal

Corey Perry is staying in Edmonton.

The Edmonton Oilers have re-signed the veteran forward to a one-year, $1.4 million deal, the team announced Monday.

Perry joined the Oilers midway through the 2023-24 season after he had his contract terminated by the Chicago Blackhawks.

In 38 regular season games with the Oilers, Perry chipped in with eight goals and five assists. He also added one goal and two assists in 17 playoff games during the Oilers’ run to the Stanley Cup Final.

The long-time NHL star has scored 429 goals and dished out 476 assists over 1,311 career NHL games.
