Pat Maroon signs one-year deal with Blackhawks

Chicago continues to stay busy throughout free agency.

The Blackhawks have signed veteran winger Pat Maroon to a one-year, $1.3 million deal, announced on Monday.

Maroon, 36, is a 13-year NHL veteran who’s split that time between seven teams. He spent the 2023-24 season split between the Minnesota Wild and Boston Bruins, recording 16 points (four goals, 12 assists) through 51 total appearances.

The former 161st overall pick in 2007 is a three-time Stanley Cup champion, winning in three consecutive seasons — starting with the St. Louis Blues in 2019 and then going back-to-back with the Tampa Bay Lightning.
