Blue Jackets’ Patrik Laine to miss six weeks after suffering fractured clavicle

Columbus Blue Jackets forward Patrik Laine exited Thursday's game against the Toronto Maple Leafs with an upper-body injury after taking a hit from defenceman William Lagesson.

Forward Patrik Laine was placed on injured reserve after suffering a clavicle fracture against the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Columbus Blue Jackets announced Friday.

Laine is expected to miss six weeks, according to the team. He suffered the injury during the second period of a game the Blue Jackets would win 6-5 in overtime after blowing a 5-0 lead.

Laine, 25, has six goals and three assists for nine points in 18 games this season.
