Penguins, Danton Heinen agree to terms on one-year, $1M contract

The Pittsburgh Penguins and forward Danton Heinen have agreed to terms on a one-year, one-way contract worth $1 million, general manager Ron Hextall announced Wednesday.

The 27-year-old registered 18 goals and 33 points in 76 games with the Penguins during the 2021-2022 season. His 15 even-strength goals ranked third on the team, behind Jake Guentzel and Sidney Crosby.

Heinen has played 348 career NHL games between the Penguins, Anaheim Ducks and Boston Bruins, tallying 62 goals and 154 points over six seasons.

Heinen was selected in the fourth round, 116th overall, by the Boston Bruins in the 2014 NHL Draft.
