Penguins re-sign forward Drew O’Connor to two-year, $1.85M contract

The Pittsburgh Penguins and forward Drew O’Connor avoided arbitration after agreeing to a two-year, $1.85 million contract on Wednesday.

O’Connor registered five goals and six assists in 46 games with the Penguins last season. He also had eight goals and 14 assists in 20 games with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League.

The 25-year-old from Chatham, New Jersey, was undrafted and joined the Penguins as a free agent in 2020 following two seasons at Dartmouth College.

He has eight goals and nine assists in 78 games over the past three seasons with Pittsburgh.
