The Pittsburgh Penguins have signed forward Frederick Gaudreau to a one-year, two-way contract worth $700,000, the club announced Saturday.

The 27-year-old has spent his entire NHL career with the Nashville Predators organization. He suited up for 42 games for the team’s AHL affiliate in Milwaukee last season, posting 28 points in that span.

Gaudreau has 84 games at the big-league level on his resumé, along with eight playoff appearances — all of which came during Nashville’s run to the Stanley Cup Final against Pittsburgh in 2017.

He netted the game-winning goals for Nashville in Games 3 and 4 of that series, before the Penguins ultimately won in Game 6.

Through his 84 career regular-season NHL games, Gaudreau has three goals and eight points.
