Pionk, Dunn, Saros among 17 RFAs to file for salary arbitration

Winnipeg Jets defenceman Neal Pionk, Seattle Kraken defenceman Vince Dunn and Nashville Predators starter Juuse Saros were among a group of 17 restricted free agents that filed for salary arbitration this off-season, the NHLPA announced Sunday.

The deadline to file for arbitration was Sunday at 5 p.m. ET. Hearings will be held from Aug. 11 to Aug. 26.

Players who file for arbitration can continue to negotiate a new contract with the team that holds their rights up until the start of the hearing. Their rights can still be traded, however, these players are no longer eligible to sign offer sheets this off-season.
