The Nashville Predators have acquired defenceman Andrew Gibson from the Detroit Red Wings in exchange for forward Jesse Kiiskinen and the Tampa Bay Lightning’s second-round pick in the 2024 NHL Draft (53rd overall), the clubs announced Tuesday.
Gibson set OHL career highs with 12 goals, 32 assists and 44 points in 68 games with the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds last season. He was seventh among all OHL defencemen with a plus-36 rating.
The Red Wings took Gibson in the second round (42nd overall) of the 2023 NHL Draft.
