Rangers sign F Sam Carrick to three-year contract

The New York Rangers are signing forward Sam Carrick to a three-year, $3-million contract, the team announced Monday.

Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman provided details about the financial terms of the deal.

Carrick, 32, split his time last season between the Ducks and the Oilers after being traded to Edmonton at the deadline.

Overall, he tallied 10 goals and six assists in 77 regular-season games and one assist in 10 Stanley Cup Playoff games with Edmonton.

He was originally picked by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
