Red Wings place Larkin, Compher on IR, recall Aston-Reese

The Detroit Red Wings have placed captain Dylan Larkin, J.T. Compher and Klim Kostin on injured reserve.

Detroit has recalled Zach Aston-Reese, Jonatan Berggren & Austin Czarnik from the AHL’s Grand Rapids Griffins.

Larkin exited Saturday’s game after he collapsed to the ice when he was hit in the head area by Ottawa Senators players Mathieu Joseph and Parker Kelly.

The Red Wings captain lay motionless on the ice for a few moments after the incident. Thankfully, he was able to get back on his feet and left the ice with assistance.

Larkin has 11 goals and 14 assists in 25 games for the Red Wings this season.

Compher has been day-to-day with an undisclosed injury. The 28-year-old has six goals and 19 points in 24 games this season with the Red Wings

Aston-Reese has seven point in 20 games in the AHL with the Griffins. He signed a one-year, two-way deal with Detroit back on Oct. 8.
