The Detroit Red Wings signed goaltender Cam Talbot to a two-year, $5 million contract Monday, Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman has learned.
Talbot posted a 27-20-6 record, 2.48 goals-against average and .913 save percentage in 54 regular-season games with the Los Angeles Kings this past season.
He also played in three playoff games with a 1-2 record, 5.30 GAA and .861 save pecentage as the Kings fell in the first round to the Edmonton Oilers.
The 36-year-old from Caledon, Ont., holds a career 246-178-42 record over 11 seasons with the New York Rangers, Edmonton Oilers, Philadelphia Flyers, Calgary Flames, Minnesota Wild, Ottawa Senators and Kings.
