The Anaheim Ducks acquired centre Robby Fabbri and a conditional fourth-round draft pick in 2025 from the Detroit Red Wings on Wednesday in exchange for goaltender Gage Alexander.
Fabbri matched his career high of 18 goals this past season and finished with 32 points.
The 28-year-old from Mississauga, Ont., spent the past five seasons with the Red Wings after he was acquired from the St. Louis Blues in November 2019.
Fabbri, who captured the Stanley Cup with the Blues in 2019, has 98 goals and 200 points in 398 career games over eight seasons with the Blues and Red Wings.
Alexander has yet to play in the NHL and spent this past season with the ECHL’s Tulsa Oilers where he posted a 5-8-2 record, 3.76 goals-against average and .887 save percentage.
The 22-year-old from Okotoks, Alta., was drafted in the fifth round, 148th overall, by the Ducks in 2021.
