Is Ilya Mikheyev on his way out of Vancouver?

According to Rick Dhaliwal of Chek News, the winger’s agent, Dan Milstein, has been granted permission by the Canucks to help facilitate a trade.

Mikheyev, 29, has been with the Canucks since signing a four-year, $19 million contract in July 2022 as a free agent. The undrafted Russian spent his three previous seasons in the NHL with the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Mikheyev struggled this past season, recording 11 goals and 20 assists for a total of 31 points over 78 regular-season games. Over 11 playoff games, he failed to record a point.

Per CapFriendly, Mikheyev has a 12-team no-trade list.
