The Buffalo Sabres have added a depth piece to their blue line.
Buffalo signed defenceman Dennis Gilbert to a one-year, $825,000 deal on Monday, the team announced.
Gilbert, 27, played 34 games with the Calgary Flames last season and recorded one goal and six assists in a career-high 34 games.
The Buffalo native has 12 fights in 82 career NHL games.
