Senators defenceman Artem Zub returning from upper-body injury vs. Devils

Ottawa Senators head coach D.J. Smith discusses his reason for sending defenceman Nikita Zaitsev down to the Senators' AHL affiliate, the Belleville Senators.

The Ottawa Senators announced defenceman Artem Zub will return from an upper-body injury on Saturday when the team hosts the New Jersey Devils.

Zub’s comes a day after the Senators assigned defenceman Nikita Zaitsev to AHL Belleville.

Zub hasn’t played since Oct. 27.

The Russian has one goal and two assists in seven games this season.

Zub gives a boost to a Senators team missing top defenceman Thomas Chabot (concussion).
