Senators sign Angus Crookshank to three-year, entry-level deal

The Ottawa Senators have signed forward Angus Crookshank to a three-year, entry-level deal, the team announced Wednesday.

Crookshank just completed his third year with the New Hampshire Wildcats and his new contract with the Senators will start during the 2021-22 season.

With New Hampshire this season, Crookshank had nine goals and 18 points over 20 games.

For the remainder of the 2020-21 campaign, the North Vancouver, B.C., native will join the American Hockey League’s Belleville Senators on an amateur tryout agreement after he quarantines.

“Angus proved to be a dominant collegiate player,” said Senators general manager Pierre Dorion in a press release. “We’re pleased that he’s made the decision to start his professional career which is what we believe is best for the next step in his development.”

Crookshank, 21, was selected by Ottawa in the fifth round of the 2018 NHL Draft.
