The Ottawa Senators have signed forward Nikolay Kulemin and defenceman Calen Addison to professional tryout agreements, the team announced Thursday.
Kulemin spent the past six years in the KHL and last played in the NHL with the New York Islanders during the 2017-18 season.
The 38-year-old from Magnitogorsk, Russia, was drafted in the second round, 44th overall, by the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2006.
He appeared in all 82 games during the 2010-11 regular season with the Maple Leafs and recorded career highs of 30 goals and 57 points.
Kulemin had 274 points (121 goals and 153 assists) in 669 career games over 10 seasons with the Maple Leafs and Islanders.
Addison split last season between the Minnesota Wild and San Jose Sharks with 12 points (one goal and 11 assists) in 60 games.
The 24-year-old from Brandon, Man., was drafted in the second round, 53rd overall, by the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2018.
He has registered 50 points (six goals and 44 assists) in 153 career games over four seasons with the Wild and Sharks.
