Senators’ Stützle leaves game vs. Ducks with upper-body injury, will not return

Ottawa Senators forward Tim Stützle left Monday’s game against the Anaheim Ducks with an upper-body injury and will not return, per the team.

The youngster took a hard hit into the boards from Ducks forward Brett Leason, after which he would head straight to the team room with speed. Leason was assessed a two-minute minor for interference after the play

Stützle, 20, has a solid start to the 2022-23 season, scoring 10 goals and handing out 17 assists in 27 games for the Senators. Only team captain Brady Tkachuk has more points (30) on the season.

The Senators currently sit in last place in the Atlantic Division with an 11-14-2 record.
