The San Jose Sharks have re-signed restricted free agent forward Kevin Labanc to a four-year contract, the team announced on Saturday.

“Kevin brings a rare level of offensive skill and creativity to our line-up and has established himself as a top-six forward in our league,” Sharks general manager Doug Wilson said in a team release. “His Game 7 playoff performance last season is one of the most iconic moments in Sharks history and is a perfect example of the impact he can have on a hockey game.
“Kevin has shown a consistent ability to perform at a high level in both the regular season and the playoffs and he will be a big part of our club in the coming years.”
Labanc, 24, is coming off a 14-goal, 33-point season during which he played on a one-year, $1-million contract he signed as an RFA last July.
A sixth-round pick of the Sharks in 2014, the Brooklyn, N.Y., native has 50 goals and 149 points in 284 career regular-season games, including career highs in goals (17) and points (56) in 2018-19. Labanc has also suited up for 30 post-season games, recording five goals and 14 assists.
