Stars sign Cameron Hughes to one-year, two-way contract

The Dallas Stars announced the signing of forward Cameron Hughes on Monday.

The team and the 27-year-old forward agreed on a one-year, two-way contract. Details of the contract were not disclosed.

Hughes spent the entire season with the AHL’s Coachella Valley Firebirds, racking up 25 goals and 57 points over 69 games. He also added 16 assists over 18 games in the Calder Cup Playoffs, helping the team advance to the Finals.

Originally a sixth-round pick of the Boston Bruins in the 2015 draft, Hughes made his NHL debut in 2019-20 and skated in two NHL contests without a point in his career.

The Edmonton native has recorded 226 points over 324 career AHL games.
