Stars sign Thomas Harley to two-year contract

Thomas Harley will be a member of the Dallas Stars’ defensive corps for the next little while.

Harley, 22, inked a two-year, $8 million deal with Dallas on Tuesday that will keep the Syracuse native with the team.

Drafted 18th overall by Dallas in 2019, Harley appeared in two seasons with the club before finally turning a corner in 2023 and unlocking the offensive upside he promised as a junior talent out of Mississauga.

Harley ranked second on the Stars in defensive scoring last season, posting 47 points across 79 games and finishing just seven points behind Miro Heiskanen for the team lead.

The left-handed shot worked his way into the Stars’ top four on the backend last season, averaging nearly 24 minutes a night.
