The Winnipeg Jets entered the trade deadline as a team at a crossroads, facing the choice of if they would push for the playoffs or pivot towards focusing on the future.
That decision was not reached with resounding clarity. As the 3 p.m. ET trade window drew closer, however, they did find themselves at the centre of one of the deadline’s were at the centre of one of the deadline’s more notable transactions, sending Andrew Copp to the New York Rangers for a package of picks and forward Morgan Barron.
