The Minnesota Wild have signed forward Marcus Johansson to a two-year, $4-million extension, the club announced Tuesday.
The 32-year-old Johansson had 19 goals and 27 assists for 46 points in 80 games with the Wild and Washington Capitals this season.
Minnesota acquired Johansson in late February in exchange for a third-round pick.
Johansson averaged just under a point per game with the Wild as he had 18 in 20 games. He added two goals in the team’s six-game series loss to the Dallas Stars in the first round.
Johansson has 163 goals and 290 assists for 453 points in 833 career NHL games with the Capitals, Wild, New Jersey Devils, Boston Bruins, Buffalo Sabres and Seattle Kraken.
