Wild’s Marcus Foligno leaves game vs. Panthers with lower-body injury

Forward Marcus Foligno will not return to the Minnesota Wild‘s game against the Florida Panthers on Monday after sustaining a lower-body injury.

Foligno went down in the second period after blocking a shot from Gustav Forsling off his leg. The 31-year-old was in immediate pain and needed to be assisted off the ice and down the tunnel.

Post-game, Wild head coach Dean Evason said Foligno’s leg numbed up, making him unable to return.

Foligno has four goals and 11 assists in 43 games with the Wild this season.
