Somehow, someway, Easton Cowan's point streak ended on Tuesday night.
The London Knights beat the Kitchener Rangers 6-4 in Game 3 of their second-round Ontario Hockey League playoff series without getting a single point from their star player.
The Toronto Maple Leafs prospect had registered at least a point in the Knights' previous 42 games (playoffs and regular season).
It's unlikely Cowan was too disappointed to see his streak end -- the top-seeded Knights are now up 3-0 in their playoff series and are 7-0 in the post-season.
The Knights can advance to the Western Conference final with a win on Thursday in Kitchener.
Cowan was Toronto's first-round pick (28th overall) in the 2023 NHL Draft.
