Barrie Colts defenceman Evan Passmore has been suspended five games after violating the league's bullying policy, the league announced Tuesday.
The incident occurred late in Barrie's game against the Sudbury Wolves on Saturday. An altercation broke out between Passmore and a Wolves player with 1:06 remaining in the Colts' 8-1 win.
According to the OHL's policy, bullying is classified as "an incident in which a player demonstrates an act of repeated aggressive, physical behaviour towards an opposing player who chooses not to respond to such action(s)."
Two additional suspensions were handed out to players from that game.
Colts player Cole Dubowsky received a two-game suspension for being the instigator of a fight in the final five minutes and being on the end of two fighting major penalties in the same game.
Meanwhile, the Wolves' Blake Clayton also received an automatic two-game suspension as a result of a game misconduct penalty for being the third man involved in the altercation.
On Monday, the league handed down a five-game suspension to London Knights forward Landon Sim for using language that goes against the league's code of conduct in a game against the Soo Greyhounds on Nov. 6.
The Colts (11-5-0) are currently fourth in the Eastern Conference with the Wolves (9-7-2) on their tails in fifth place.
