Team Canada has won bronze in the men’s 4×100-metre relay at the Tokyo Olympics, finishing in 37.70 seconds to give the country its second-straight bronze in the event.
Italy claimed gold with a time of 37.50, narrowly edging out Great Britain’s second-place finish of 37.51.
Canada’s team consisted of Aaron Brown, Brendon Rodney, Jerome Blake and was anchored by Andre De Grasse.

Outside of medal contention heading into the final leg, De Grasse’s closing sprint propelled Canada to the podium — and himself into the country’s record books.
With the bronze, De Grasse continued his storied run of medalling in every Olympic event he has ever competed in and earned his sixth medal overall, making him the most decorated male Olympian in Canadian history.
It also marked De Grasse’s third medal of these Games, making him one of only two Canadians to win three medals in back-to-back Olympics. The other is Penny Oleksiak, who became the most decorated Olympian, summer or winter, with her podium performances at Tokyo.
