Canada's Max Moffatt qualifies for Olympic freestyle ski slopestyle final

Canada's Max Moffatt has qualified for the men's freestyle ski slopestyle final at the Beijing Olympics.

The native of Guelph, Ont., finished 11th in qualifying on Tuesday to advance to the 12-man final (Tuesday, 8:30 p.m. ET).

Switzerland's Andri Ragettli was first, Birk Ruud of Norway was second and Nicholas Goepper of the United States was third.

Canada's Edouard Therriault just missed out on the final, finishing 13th in qualifying. Canadians Evan McEachran (24th) and Teal Harle (26th) also missed.

Moffatt won a silver in slopestyle earlier this year at the X Games.
