American snowboard star Chloe Kim defended her gold medal in women’s halfpipe at the Beijing Winter Olympics, while a pair of Canadians missed the podium.
Kim won the gold with a score of 94 on her first run and was able to hold on despite falling on her other two attempts.

Elizabeth Hosking of Longueuil, Que., finished sixth with a score of 79.25 while Calgary’s Brooke D’Hondt — the youngest Canadian competing in the Games at age 16 — finished 10th with a score of 66.75.
Spain’s Queralt Castellet claimed silver with a score of 90.25 while Sena Tomita won the bronze with a score of 88.25.
