Canadian Erica Wiebe has guaranteed herself an Olympic medal after advancing to the women’s 75-kilogram freestyle wrestling final Thursday.

The former University of Calgary student defeated Germany’s Maria Selmaier, China’s Fengliu Zhang and Belarusan Vasilisa Marzaliuk en route to the gold medal match where she’ll face Kazakhstan’s Guzel Manyurova.

Wiebe, 27, was the 2014 Commonwealth Games gold medallist, while Manyurova is a two-time Olympic medallist winning silver at Athens 2004 and bronze at London 2012.
