Canada routs Turkey in water polo qualifiers

EDMONTON — Kevin Graham scored four times as Canada routed Turkey 14-5 on Tuesday in the Olympic qualifying tournament of men’s water polo.

Justin Boyd had a hat trick for Canada (2-0-0), while Devon Diggle scored a pair of goals. Jared McElroy, John Conway, Scott Robinson, Nicolas Constantin-Bicari and Constantine Kudaba rounded out the scoring.

Halil Beskardesler and Berk Gunkot both had a pair of goals for Turkey (0-1-1).

Canada is in a tie for first in the tournament’s Group B.

Four teams from the 11-country tournament will earn Olympic berths.

Canada’s next game is on Wednesday against Argentina.
