Twitter Reaction: ‘Golden’ Penny Oleksiak makes history

Canadian Penny Oleksiak tied American Simone Manuel and won gold in 100m freestyle.

The legend of 16-year-old Penny Oleksiak continued as she set an Olympic record to claim a gold medal on Thursday night at Rio 2016. Oleksiak also set a number of other records, including the honour of becoming the first Canadian to win four swimming medals at an Olympic Games.

As always, the Twitterverse exploded with jubilation as Oleksiak wowed the nation once again.
