The Ottawa Charge might start their second season without their captain.
Brianne Jenner will be a game-time decision for Game 1, head coach Carla MacLeod told reporters on Friday.
Jenner has been battling an injury during pre-season camp, but the nature of the injury has not been disclosed.
“Her (injury) will sort of be a day to day analysis," Macleod said, according to Sportsnet's Alex Adams. “Just enough (of an injury) to put her where she's at, and we're obviously managing internally.”
The Oakville, Ont. native recorded nine goals and 11 assists in 24 games last season. This will be her second season as captain in Ottawa.
Puck drop set for 5:00 p.m. ET / 2 p.m. PT in Montreal as the Charge take on the Victoire to open their season.
