PWHL Montreal has inked a three-year deal with Swedish forward Lina Ljungblom.
Drafted with the last pick in the inaugural PWHL draft in 2023, the 22-year-old was named this past season's MVP in the Swedish women's Hockey League (SDHL), netting 23 goals and 46 points in 36 games.
PWHL Montreal had a strong season, finishing second in the overall standings, but fell in the semifinals to Boston through three games.
The signing comes just ahead of Monday's PWHL draft, where the Ljungblom's new team looks to add more talent with the fifth pick.
