PWHL Ottawa inks Rebecca Leslie to a one-year deal

Rebecca Leslie is heading home. The former PWHL Toronto forward is heading to her hometown team, PWHL Ottawa, on a one-year deal through the 2024-25 season, the club announced on Monday.

Leslie played depth minutes last season with Toronto but could expect more responsibility with her new squad. Through 24 games in 2023-2024, the 28-year-old tallied two goals and seven assists while adding one goal through five post-season games.

“Rebecca is a great skater. She is a 200-foot player. She has this veteran presence and will be a great addition to our locker room. It’s an added bonus that she is from Ottawa. We are excited to bring her home,” says PWHL Ottawa general manager Mike Hirshfeld.
