PWHL Toronto moving to Coca Cola Coliseum for 2024-25 season

PWHL Toronto has a new home rink for the 2024-25 campaign.

For its second season in the league, Toronto will be using Coca-Cola Coliseum as its primary home venue, the team announced Tuesday.

The team did play at Coca-Cola Coliseum during the 2024 PWHL Playoffs with a trio of sold-out games that averaged more than 8,500 fans. The team also played a game at Scotiabank Arena back in February in front of a sold-out crowd of 19,285.

PWHL Toronto played most of its games last year at the Mattamy Athletic Centre, which has a capacity for just over 2,500 fans for hockey.

The Toronto Marlies, the AHL affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs, play home games at Coca-Cola Coliseum. In 2026, Toronto’s WNBA expansion franchise will use the arena as its home court.

The facility is owned by the City of Toronto but is operated by Maple Leafs Sports and Entertainment, which owns the Leafs and Marlies.

“We are excited to be calling Coca-Cola Coliseum our home for the upcoming season,” PWHL Toronto general manager Gina Kingsbury said in a statement. “We look forward to creating an atmosphere that will be a unique and special sporting experience unlike anything else in Toronto. Our incredible fans sold out this historic venue during our playoff games last season and now we can’t wait to see and hear their infectious excitement again when we hit the ice for the 2024-2025 season.”
