NTT IndyCar Series:

Last Race: Sunday June 5th:  Belle Isle Detroit: For the final time before the race moves back downtown. Dodging the rain, a nice fast one with NO cautions, a little more than an hour and a half to do, Penske Racing Will Power on well-worn tires was just able to hold off a furious challenge from Alex Rossi at the end for his first win of the season, 3rd in Detroit. Rossi only a second back at the checkers! Rossi finished 2nd, Scott Dixon 3rd.

The turning point: Pole-sitter Charles Leclerc led early, but a terrible strategic Ferrari gaff dropped him to 4th for good behind Perez, his teammate Carlos Sainz and championship rival Max Verstappen.  The start was delayed an hour with heavy rain but it finished dry. Ferrari alleged Perez and Verstappen had violated pit-exit rules and protested their finish. Invalid.
